Travel Suggestions: Hunters are encouraged to arrive at least one day prior to the hunt to recover from travel and enjoy Queenstown. This also provides a buffer for any unexpected airline delays. The outfitter will collect hunters directly from their accommodation before transferring them to the hunting property.

Many clients choose to extend their stay after the hunt to explore additional South Island attractions. Popular options include Milford Sound, Glenorchy, Wanaka, and the region's world-famous wineries, making this one of the most enjoyable destinations available for international hunting travel.

Detailed field preparation of trophies is included in every package. Following a successful New Zealand Red Stag hunt, guides professionally cape hides and complete basic skull and antler cleaning preparations. Delivery to a trusted local taxidermist is included, often with the hunter allowing for an introduction with the taxidermist and a quick tour of his studio. Hunters may choose to complete taxidermy in New Zealand or export trophies to a taxidermist in their home country. Trophy export services, shipping, and final taxidermy costs are arranged directly with the taxidermist and are not included in the Red Stag hunt price.
